FOR YOUR PLANNING; THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO VISIT THE ISLAND

The Island is open to visitors between June15 and Labor Day. Please note that, because of bird nesting, the trails are open only after July 15. The Island is open from 10AM to 5PM. Smoking is permitted only on the sand beach.

FIRST: BY YOUR OWN BOAT

Skippers, land your passengers at the float and a Park Ranger will direct you to a mooring near the pier and, if you do not have a dinghy, will transport you back to the pier.

Moorings in the vicinity of the pier are available on a first-come basis. If full, you can wait, return later, or a Park Ranger can tell you where to anchor.

Fees are as follows:    Children under 5   -    Free

                                    Ages 5 to 11         -    $1

                                    Ages 12 to 64       -    $3

                                    Ages 65 and over -     Free

SECOND: CHARTER BOATS: (Check with each for latest information)

Scheduled runs from Portland and South Freeport. Fees after landing on the Island are as above. Call for schedules and information.
